Internet Explorer usage decreased by 6% in a year

According to the stats of netmarketshare.com, Internet Explorer usage is continuously decreasing. From Jan 2010 to Jan 2011, Internet Explorer lost 6.12% of Market Shares. In just a year, Internet Explorer usage is decreased by 6.12%. In the same time period, Firefox usage is also decreased by 1.68%. On the other hand, Google Chrome market shares jumped from 5.22% to 10.70%. so, it is now cleared the users are preferring Google Chrome over Internet Explorer and Firefox.
There are two main reasons due to which Internet Explorer usage is decreasing. First, Internet Explorer is heavier than other browsers i.e Google Chrome and Firefox. Second, Non-Availability for any other OS than Windows

Without any doubt we can say that Internet Explorer 9 is better than all the previous versions of Internet Explorer but Internet Explorer 9 is still not successfull in attracting much users. Currently, Internet Explorer usage is 56%, Firefox usage is 22.75%, Google Chrome usage is 10.70% and other browsers hold 10.55%. But if the same situation exists throughout the year, then we can predict that at the starting of 2012, Internet Explorer usage will be less than 50%.

November 2010 Browser Stats: IE and Firefox down, Chrome Usage Increasing

According to netmarketshare.com, In November 2010, Google Chrome and Safari usage increased, while Internet Explorer and Firefox usage decreased.
From the starting of the year, Internet Explorer usage is continuously decreasing, in January Internet Explorer usage was 62.12% but at the end of November Internet Explorer usage decreased to 58.44%. So, in 11 months, Internet Explorer usage is decreased by 3.68%.
At the end of November, Firefox usage is also decreased by 0.07%. At the starting of Year, Firefox Usage was 24.43%, but at the end of November Firefox usage is 22.76%. So, this year Internet Explorer is not only the browser who is losing it’s market share, Firefox also lost 1.67% of it’s Market Shares.
The use of Google Chrome is increasing day by day. At the end of October Google Chrome usage was 8.50%, but at the end of November Google Chrome usage jumped to 9.26%. In the last 11 months, Google Chrome usage is increased by 4.04%. In November, Safari browser usage is increased by 0.19% whereas Opera lost 0.09% of it’s Market Shares.

Despite of release of Internet Explorer 9 (Beta) and Firefox 4 (Beta), Internet Explorer and Firefox usage is decreasing , on the other hand Google Chrome usage is continuously increasing.
